Using Spaces

What Are Spaces?
Spaces are containers for grouping related standards together. Think of them as folders or projects. For example, you might have a "Frontend" space for React conventions, a "Backend" space for API guidelines, and a "DevOps" space for infrastructure standards.
Every organization starts with a default space. You can create additional spaces as your team grows.
Creating a Space
To create a new space, go to the Spaces page in your dashboard and click "New Space." Give it a name and an optional description. You can also choose who has access to the space — the whole organization or specific members.
Moving Standards Between Spaces
You can move a standard from one space to another by editing the standard and changing the "Space" field. You can also move multiple standards at once using the bulk actions feature on the Standards page.
When you move a standard, all its tags and content stay the same. Only the space assignment changes.
Space Permissions
Spaces inherit your organization's default permissions, but you can also set space-level permissions to control who can view or edit standards in a specific space. This is useful when different teams need different levels of access.
- Organization-wide — Everyone in the org can access the space.
- Restricted — Only selected members can access the space.
