Organizing with Tags & Categories

How Tags Work
Tags are labels you can attach to any standard to help organize your knowledge base. They work like keywords — you can add as many as you like, and then filter your standards by tag to find what you need quickly.
Tags are shared across your entire organization, so when one person creates a tag, everyone can use it.
Adding Tags to Standards
You can add tags when creating or editing a standard. In the editor, you will see a "Tags" field where you can type a tag name and press Enter to add it. If the tag already exists, it will appear as a suggestion as you type.
To remove a tag, click the "x" next to the tag name in the editor.
Filtering by Tag
On the Standards page, you can filter by one or more tags using the tag filter in the sidebar. Click a tag to show only standards with that tag. You can select multiple tags to narrow your results further.
Tags also work with search — if you search for a term and filter by tag at the same time, you will see results that match both criteria.
Tag Best Practices
- Use consistent naming — decide on a convention like lowercase with hyphens.
- Do not create too many tags — a focused set of tags is more useful than hundreds of rarely-used ones.
- Use tags for topics (e.g., "react", "api", "testing") rather than metadata.
- Review and clean up unused tags periodically from the settings page.
